LA 451 Open Space Planning & Design Projects

Monroe Street ParkThe students from Sam Dennis & Kate Braun’s Landscape Architecture 451 “Open Space Planning and Design” class have created some really interesting designs for redesigning Monroe Street as a Green Design Corridor.  They provided a sampling of some of these designs for the 13th District Alder forum that was held last week at Edgewood College.  We have uploaded a digital version of the designs to our File Library.  The designs were categorized according to the themes of the meeting Nature, Transportation, Water, Business but since many ideas for a Green Design encompass more than one of these themes there is some overlap.  The files may be found by going to our File Library and choosing the category “Management Plans & Reports”.  The links to each file are also provided below.  Thanks to the class and their instructors for the great design ideas and for permission to share them on our website!
