Program Manager

Friends of Lake Wingra

The Friends of Lake Wingra are seeking an independent contractor to work as a Program Manager. This part time (10 hours per week) paid contract begins May 1 (negotiable), and extends for at least one year. This position offers a great opportunity for fun and professional growth in a creative setting.

Tasks include:
-Leading outreach and interaction with community members and regional watershed groups.
-Planning and facilitating recruitment, charity, ecological restoration, and social events.
-Identifying, securing, and managing implementation of grants.
-Strategizing and executing fundraising efforts.
-Managing volunteer and fundraising contact databases.
–Supervising and leading a group of Badger Volunteers.
-Organizing and mobilizing volunteer work days.
-Distributing and managing Friends of Lake Wingra Stormwater Grant program materials.
-Coordinating newsletter(printed and electronic) creation, production, and distribution.
–Maintaining web and social media presence.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proficiency with Microsoft Office, ability to work independently, and a passion for the watershed.
