Meet Our New Program Director

Welcome, Adrienne! Adrienne is our new Program Director at Friends of Lake Wingra. She is currently a graduate student at the Nelson Institute at UW earning her MS in Environmental Conservation. While not a Wisconsin native, she has spent nearly the last two years working in the Lake Wingra Watershed. First, she was a Canvass Director for Wisconsin Environment, and most recently she managed the Serrv store on Monroe St. She is excited to continue her work in the community.

Before moving to Madison, Adrienne did her undergraduate degree in Washington, DC and studied International Studies. She also served in the Peace Corps as an English teacher in Mozambique. She is very interested in community based sustainable development and recognizes Friends of Lake Wingra’s work as complimentary to her educational and career goals. She’s looking forward to organizing fun events and projects this summer and welcomes any questions or comments you might have at info@lakewingra.org.
